- Dura-Bore™ Cast Iron Cylinders withstand wear and abuse while providing improved oil control for increased engine life. \r\n
- Forged Steel Crankshaft has far higher strength than the cast iron shafts used on lower quality engines. \r\n
- Heavy Duty Dual Ball Bearings support the crankshaft on both ends, rather than the single bearing commonly used. This gives longer life and higher power output because of reduced friction. It also makes engine starting much easier. \r\n
- Sturdy 1-inch Diameter Power Shaft is stiffer than the standard 3/4 inch shafts used on other engines. \r\n

Horsepower & Torque Ratings
\r\n\r\n\r\n The XR950-PRO engines are rated in foot-pounds of torque, not horsepower.\r\n Vanguard engines are rated in gross horsepower by Briggs & Stratton per the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) specification J1940.\r\n To make comparing engine power rating simpler, we also give you the torque rating in foot-pounds for each Cyclone Rake engine.\r\n Horsepower and torque are not the same thing when comparing engines, so check the power ratings carefully.\r\n Rest assured that when you choose Briggs & Stratton brand engines, you’re getting the best.\r\n
